Mediterraneo Apartments

The studio is really nice and the staff are amazing. There was a bit of a wait at reception, and the Wi-Fi is kind of slow, but otherwise I’ve got no complaints.

My second stay at Mediterranean Apps was a huge letdown compared with the first, which I’d praised in an earlier review. On arrival, the property already seemed run-down and badly in need of upkeep. The shower and its door were in poor shape, and the door wouldn’t close properly. The air conditioner leaked into the room, leaving it damp and uncomfortable. Several other doors were broken, and the toilet cabinet was visibly rotten. The room was dirty, with ants, sand, and hair. We stayed for 8 days, but it was cleaned only 2-3 times, even though Antonio had promised daily cleaning. He also insisted on full payment upfront, saying guests would be very disappointed otherwise. The way he pushed for payment made us uneasy, and when we asked for basic housekeeping, he made us feel like a burden. Maria, Antonio’s sister, was consistently kind and helpful at the local supermarket, a welcome contrast. Still, Mediterranean Apps has fallen a long way from its former standard. I’d advise avoiding it and looking elsewhere in Sterna Beach for a better-maintained stay.

The hotel is very clean, and housekeeping does a good job. It would be even better if they cleaned the kitchenette too. The rooms have what you need, including a well-equipped kitchen, though there’s no oven. It’s only 20 meters from the sea, and I’d happily recommend it.

We stayed for two weeks in this lovely, peaceful place. The rooms were clean and fully equipped, and the beach is just 50 meters away. Antonios was a very kind and helpful host.
