Pontoria Stegna Studios

We spent a week at Pontoria Stegna Beach Studios earlier this month, and I’d highly recommend it. The apartment was clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and had a wonderful view. The hosts were friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with. Good restaurants and a mini-market are within walking distance, and supermarkets are a short drive away in Arkhangelos.

This family-run place felt like home, with traditional Greek touches in the interiors. We stayed four nights and had a lovely time. It’s spacious, very clean, and has a beautiful harbor view. There’s plenty of parking and a downstairs terrace with a rooftop that gives you a great view. We enjoy traveling and supporting local businesses. Stegna beach is a quiet resort off the beaten path. We took the photos there ourselves.

I had a pleasant 9-day stay at Pontoria studios Stegna in May. The resort is well maintained, with a large parking area, and the hosts are super nice. Fotini, thanks again for my daily dose of delicious vitamin C ;-)! The apartment was a good size, modern, very clean, and practically equipped. The balcony views across Stegna bay are fabulous. The mattress was perfect, and my backache was gone after the first night. Wi-Fi didn’t work everywhere or all the time in the room, so I used my mobile hotspot as an alternative. Stegna is a great base for exploring Rhodes. The beach is long: you can rent a lounger and umbrella near Pontoria Studios, or walk a few minutes to the quieter end. Walk up the hill behind the studios and around the corner, and there’s another small, lovely beach below a fish restaurant. In Stegna there are small minimarkets and several nice restaurants. For shopping, drive to Archangelos, where there are several supermarkets, including my favorite, Panagiotias, and a very nice pastry shop with great cakes and cookies on the same road as Panagiotas. Stegna isn’t very noisy, and the nights were quiet too. The larger hotel hosts music events 3-4 evenings a week, but they last only two hours. I recommend Pontoria Stegna Studios and would stay there again.

The hosts are very kind and helpful, and the rooms are clean and tidy with a wonderful sea view. You’re close to the beach, but far enough away to have some privacy and peace. Highly recommended.
