Stegna was just right for refreshing the soul and body, and I hope I get to see Maria again someday. She's the kindest host I've ever had, and her warmth made our holiday even more special. The room was very clean and tidied every day, with fresh towels. On arrival, she had left fruit from her own garden in the room. It was my birthday, and Maria even gave me a cake. We enjoyed the holiday so much. Bless her kind heart.

Maria welcomed us with so much warmth and sincerity that we felt like we were visiting a close friend. She helped with everything we needed, including transport and leisure activities. There were thoughtful extras everywhere, from welcome drinks and cold water to snacks and fruit juice for the kids. Along with the wonderful nature of Stegna, Maria and her family made this a getaway we'll always remember. The house is comfortable, cozy, and relaxing, with careful attention to comfort, cleanliness, and smart features that mix luxury with simplicity. It might be hard to convince your travel companions to go out if they get too comfortable inside! If you've seen enough of Rhodes and want to read, watch the sun rise over the Mediterranean from a beautiful balcony, swim or snorkel in the bay just in front, and try local food at nearby tavernas without going far, Maria's house could be a lovely option. Stegna is a small, quiet place and a great spot for a relaxing holiday. Maria, the hotel owner, is always around and happy to help with whatever you need. I hope to come back next year.

Try to get a beach-view apartment if you can. There were water-supply problems in the area in summer 2017. The location is right on the front line of one of the island's best beaches, and the reasonable prices and smaller number of tourists make it appealing. But the apartments need renovation. The mattresses are old and hard, and the shower and kitchen are far from perfect.
