Babis was welcoming from the moment we arrived at Hotel Athanasia. He greeted us all, treated us to coffee on the first day, explained how everything worked and shared lots of local suggestions, from beaches and places to eat or drink to monasteries, churches and other sights. The place is spotless, organized and well maintained. The air conditioning, bathroom and other amenities all worked properly. Towels were changed every two days and sheets every three, which added to the sense of care. The staff were friendly too. If you want a clean, welcoming base in Thassos rather than an all-inclusive resort with food and drinks all the time, this is one of the best options. Highly recommended.

Babis is friendly and greets you with a smile every day. He also pointed us toward some of the island’s best beaches. Housekeeping were kind, and the hotel was very clean each day. There’s free parking in front. It’s right in the city center, four minutes from the ferry and six from shops and restaurants. I’d strongly recommend Hotel ATHANASIA.

The rooms were cozy, top quality and very clean, and the host was kind and gave us all the information we needed about the island and its attractions. It’s a peaceful place with an outdoor garden where you can sit with coffee and chat with friends. The ferry is just a minute away by car. We enjoyed our stay and plan to come back this year. You should too! 💪🏻🤩

The room and location were okay, with taverns and the city center nearby. Babis was friendly and very helpful. There were lots of mosquitoes from 8 PM to 11 PM.

A good choice for families visiting Thassos. The room was very clean and there were plenty of kitchen utensils. Babis was friendly and helpful, with great tips about the island. The hotel is close to the ferry port and lots of restaurants and bars.
