A good choice for one night before a flight. It’s very close to the airport, with pleasant shared spaces, comfortable rooms and a good breakfast.

At 5 a.m. we still couldn’t sleep. The room was hot, and the air conditioning wasn’t working. I suspect it was the same throughout the hotel, judging by how warm the corridors and reception were. We tried opening the window, but there was a hole in the mosquito net, so we spent the night killing mosquitoes. The room smelled of smoke, and the receptionist wasn’t helpful. How is this place rated four stars?

The staff were helpful and friendly, and the room was surprisingly quiet despite being near the airport. I slept well. The hotel is an easy drive from Thessaloniki Airport, which made it convenient for my late arrival and early departure. Check-in and check-out were quick, and there’s public transport and restaurants nearby. Staff also offered local tips and help when I needed it. My room was comfortable, modern and well cared for, with fresh linens and a spotless bathroom. I appreciated how seriously they seemed to take cleanliness after a long journey. I’d recommend Iris Hotel for a dependable, clean stay near the airport, whether you’re in transit or spending a day or two in the area. It felt like good value.

The hotel is only about 10 minutes from Thessaloniki airport, which makes the location handy. Just note that if you’re following Google Maps, the building is roughly 100 meters farther along.

The breakfast was excellent, and the hotel is close to Thessaloniki airport. We arrived late at night after a night flight. We came by taxi, and I wouldn’t recommend compani Airports Taxi Transfers. They charged us and then cancelled, saying they didn’t have a car seat for a baby.
