Electra Palace Thessaloniki

Everything was tasty, from the champagne and sweets to the food and salads we had at our favourite rooftop terrace restaurant. The restaurant menu was great too. The place is very clean and well managed, right in the heart of Thessaloniki, Greece’s second biggest city. We had a beautiful view of Aristotelis Square, and shopping and the city’s main highlights are close by. Highly recommended!

The rooftop restaurant has a nice view, and breakfast there is good. Service was okay, and the staff were polite. The location is great, but the rooms are very small, old, and noisy, though the noise isn’t from the location. There’s no parking, and the hotel offers no solution beyond directing guests to private lots nearby. The hotel feels very outdated.

The bed was a highlight for me, especially with four different pillows. It was incredibly comfortable. The rooms aren’t large, but the layout is smart and functional, with enough room to move around, and everything was very clean with a strong sense of hygiene. Reception and the rest of the staff were extremely polite, friendly, and helpful. The hotel’s exterior is impressive, and the interior is decorated with real taste. Lots of places are an easy walk away. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you visit Thessaloniki.

Service matters as much as what a place provides, and I was upset by how the woman on duty treated my friends last Saturday when they wanted to go up to the Roof Garden. It was an unpleasant situation, and I felt embarrassed on behalf of the hotel management.
