Hotel Ilisia

Parking took me two hours just to find a spot for check-in and unloading. That's not the hotel's fault, but be prepared. If their recommended parking is full, head straight to Grand Parking, 300 m away, for €15 a day, and save yourself the hassle. The location is perfect for a short stay. Rooms are clean and tidy, with housekeeping every day. Breakfast isn't huge, but it's enough to start the day. Don't expect luxury, though for the price it's excellent value. No major flaws, and I'd definitely recommend it.

The location is the only reason to stay. The rooms and breakfast were a disaster. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable, the bathroom was super tiny, and breakfast was just sweets, with no protein or healthy food. The coffee and juice were cheap, and the restaurant wasn't big enough. I wouldn't stay again.

The lobby stairs are long and steep, and the room was too small, especially the bathroom. It's an old building, and basically all you get is a room with a tiny bathroom. I expected something nicer from the ad on Booking. Com. I'm finding Booking. com isn't so above board with advertising, and it puts people in hostels when they search for hotels without telling them.

The room was overpriced, and this is in my top three worst hotels I've stayed in. At first they put us in a room with ventilation from the next building making so much noise it was impossible to sleep. When we asked to change rooms, reception acted perplexed, as if they didn't know about it, and were very cheeky. They then gave us a key to another supposed room on the rooftop, maybe an old tool shed. It was a tiny, awful, deteriorated single room instead of a double. The bed was so low it felt like sleeping on the floor, and anyone with bad knees might have trouble getting in and out. They didn't feel they needed to refund the price difference. We paid 120 euro to sleep in the attic, with a cramped bathroom where you had to be careful around the shower curb so you didn't hurt yourself using the WC. Breakfast was basic and poor, with fake orange juice in the country of orange trees and undrinkable coffee. And the horrible painting on the wall was the last straw. This place is a tourist trap, avoid it if you can.
