Afrodite Hotel

We had a really awful experience. The rooms had bugs, the AC filters were dirty and smelled bad, and there’s no elevator. When we realized this, we tried to leave and pay only half a day for all the rooms we’d booked. The owners then shouted in front of our baby, threatened us with physical violence, and confronted us for over an hour while demanding more money. We found the staff and owner rude, shady, and unethical.

We left immediately and didn’t stay. I’d seen several photos on booking and called to ask about them; they told me the hotel had been remodeled. On arrival, just one room had been redone, while the others were old and gross. The receptionist had already given the room she’d said on the phone I could stay in to someone else, despite our agreement, and didn’t seem to care. The staff were rude and deceptive, and an older woman at reception nearly cursed at us. The only rating I’d give it is “THE ABSOLUTE ZERO.”

The bathroom was tiny and dirty, and the staff were unfriendly. The AC didn’t work, there was no Wi-Fi or hair dryer, and bathing left water all over the floor, making it dangerous to walk. Breakfast came with unpleasant surprises, including hair and flying insects. A shame to provide service like this during COVID-19. Not recommended, even for free. Stay away.

Breakfast was included in the price, but it was never ready downstairs. We paid in advance online and weren’t given an invoice. During our six-day stay, the dirty rooms were never cleaned, and the used blankets and bathroom were never changed or cleaned. The dirtiest hotel in Tinos, and the worst one there.
