Green Meadow

The setting is beautiful, with open air and covered seating, plus lush green lawns that are perfectly maintained. Sadly, the food didn't match it. The large grilled prawns were bland and chewy, as if they hadn't been grilled at all and had gone straight from frozen to the plate. The moussaka was greasy and one-note, obviously microwaved, and the chip tasted of cooking oil. I don't often leave a bad review, but with so many good places to eat nearby, this place needs to improve.

Green Meadows is tucked into a lovely garden, with nice lighting at night. The portions are generous and the food tastes great. The staff are very friendly. Animal lovers may enjoy the two tiny resident dogs, though the local cats make them look even smaller. We came twice, which says plenty.

The staff made for a lovely evening, thank you to all of them. I had rabbit in red sauce, the best I've had so far, and my wife had prawns much bigger than the small ones in the UK. We asked about dessert and were told there was chocolate cake. We thought we'd order two, but the lady honestly warned us the portions were big, so we got one. She was right, it was big.

I've come back to this restaurant two years in a row, which says a lot. The food is great, the prices are good value, and the service is really warm. You won't be disappointed. ☺️
