Villa Oliva Zakynthos

The view was stunning, and the accommodation was great.

A good villa, just right for us.

The best parts were the lovely pool, the roomy grounds, the valley view and the location. There's a large terrace with a romantic view, a big table and chairs, loungers and deckchairs. The pool is long, wide and deep, and was cleaned regularly. Inside, the kitchen has most things you'd need, though there's no toaster. There are two bathrooms, one with a tub and one with a shower, plus two upstairs bedrooms with fairly firm mattresses. It's peaceful in terms of neighbors, but you can hear the street, dogs, chickens and similar noises. A larger town with supermarkets and restaurants is around 5-10 minutes away, and the airport is about 20 minutes away. A few things could be improved: the listing mentions a barbecue, but there wasn't one; the shower enclosure is broken; there's no light on the path from the gate to the house; cables on the olive trees are untidy; some lamps don't work; the decor could be more modern; and a decent hairdryer would be useful.

Everything was in great shape and very clean. The holiday home is lovely, with a beautiful view and an ideal location.
