I found this lovely place and liked it enough to return twice. The owners clearly take pride in it, the food is terrific, and those views are hard to beat.

Aiolos has a little beach of its own and a taverna where we enjoyed lunch and dinner. The setting is calm and homey, with breathtaking views, fresh fish, and hosts who made us feel so welcome. A lovely place for a relaxing few days. I think you'll love it.

We were invited to see the day's catch, then had red mullet, sardines, and giant prawns, simply cooked with lemon so the fish could speak for itself. The tzatziki was the best I've ever had, made properly with good yoghurt. A wonderful find, and we'll be back.

The view was good, but the food felt only okay for the price. The fresh kalamari shown in the photo cost 14€, and the portion was too small. I wouldn't order it again if I came to Vagia to eat.

Grilled feta, salad, and fish were made with such simple ingredients, but the flavours really came through, especially the vegetables with a little olive oil. The elderly couple running the restaurant clearly know what they're doing, and their experience shows in the food. There aren't enough stars for this place. A must try while you're here.
