Kandania Paradise Hotel

The hosting family made us feel very welcome and helped make our stay a great experience. We had a superior room with a breathtaking view of the mountains, and spent nine wonderful nights at Kandania Paradise. It was quiet and just right for relaxing.

The setting among the mountains gave us an exceptional view, and the hotel was so peaceful and relaxing. My family and I spent two nights here in August. There weren't many guests, mostly adults, and the staff were extremely friendly and made sure we were comfortable and happy. Our ground-floor room was clean and modern. The hotel is made up of about six apartment blocks, with four rooms and a pool in each one. Breakfast was satisfying, with a good variety. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, which is Italian but caters to everyone. Kandanos, a sweet, traditional village with restaurants and grocers, is about a 15-minute drive away. I'd happily stay again. Thanks to all the staff!

The breakfast was excellent, and dinner at the restaurant connected to the accommodation was delicious too. The whole hotel is new and spotless, and the owners are very kind. You can tell they put their heart into the place, and I wish them the best as the business grows. We came to Crete for mountain scenery, peaceful time away from people, and beautiful sunsets, and this place was amazing. Everything was perfect. If I return to Crete, I'll definitely stay here again. It was truly special, and I'll cherish the memories for a long time.

I've never felt so invisible. After checking out, we wanted to sit by the pool on a sun lounger from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. after three nights at the hotel. It was off-season, and the complex was empty apart from us, the cleaning lady, and the manager. The manager came over and closed the umbrella above us without saying a word, while we sat there in the middle of the day like a lighthouse. The staff were friendly, but that odd moment left us with mixed feelings. Our ground-floor room by the pool was nice and had a beautiful view. But when all the hotel's "houses" are occupied, other guests can be right in front of your pool-facing window, which cuts down privacy a lot. Cleaning staff and the manager also often walk past, even in the evening. Edit after the owner's reply: No, that's false. You didn't explain that at all, because, as I said, you didn't say a single word to us. Saying you "explicitly" told us something feels exaggerated. I'm not a liar. And the wind force you're describing sounds extreme, like strong enough to uproot trees. Anyway, good luck moving forward.
