The area around Gerani is lovely and quiet, and Gerakas, my favourite beach, is only a short walk away. I had a lovely time here. The rooms are nice, with basic cooking facilities and balconies looking out over the garden. Antonio, the owner, is kind and welcoming, and always a friendly face at his bar across the street. Peppy looks after the rooms and is always there with a smile and greeting.

I was happy with the clean room, strong shower pressure, and affordable price. I stayed for a few days in early June, and it was a good spot to switch off. Gerakas Beach is about a 20-minute walk, and the nearest market is by the beach, with most things you might need except fresh or frozen meat. There’s a bus stop right beside the place for getting into Zakynthos town. The WiFi is pretty good for somewhere remote, though it dropped in and out a few times each day.

Having a car makes this a great base for trying a different beach each day. The rooms are cleaned daily, and the owner is really nice. You can ask them anything.

The location is great for beach hopping if you rent a car. My room was clean, the shower and AC were great, and the service was great too.

The room was nice and clean, and we had a good view. Getting around on foot was the problem, since everything felt too far away. I’d suggest renting a car.
