The hillside setting means the walk up and down can be tough, particularly in the heat, so older guests and families should keep that in mind. We made the climb several times with our 3-year-old, and the views on the way back made it worthwhile. We stayed at Adastra Hotel and loved how calm and relaxed it felt. From the rooms, the view stretches over the harbor and the landscape of Ithaca. Our room was spacious, nicely decorated, and thoughtfully equipped, with what we needed for a comfortable stay. It’s a lovely choice for a quiet break and some authentic island charm.

Soula brought us freshly made breakfast every morning, and the apartment had a wonderful view over Vathi. Our hosts made us feel like part of their family. Thanks, Adastra.

We booked the "Romantic" suite and loved the bright rooms and breathtaking view. The people were so kind, and breakfast was homemade. Hope we get to come back!
