Hotel Makedonia

We came back a year later and the hotel was still in good shape. Breakfast was perfect, and the receptionists were courteous. On our first visit, the young professional staff were always ready to help with whatever we needed. One of the best hotels in Veria, Greece. We definitely recommend it and will be back again. Thank you!

The friendly staff made an unexpected two-night stop in Veria much easier after our car broke down on the way home from Albania. We’d chosen the hotel for its price and location, and had a room for four with air conditioning. While we waited for the cat service in the lounge, my family and I played board games. The staff brought us cold water and found us things we needed, like a corkscrew and glasses. Breakfast was tasty, with a nice selection, and served from 7 to 10. Veria is lively, with plenty of shops and restaurants, and the hotel is just 1-2 minutes from the pedestrian area. It’s easy to reach by car, with parking and an elevator. The building is a bit old, but very well kept. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable, and the service and varied breakfast were good. There’s space to store equipment, which helped with our surfing gear. Since it was killing hot outside, the staff kindly kept some temperature-sensitive food for us in the kitchen fridge. We stayed a second night 10 days later. The service and breakfast were great again. The bathrooms get quite hot because the window can’t be opened.

Sotira, our dear host at Hotel, made our stay unforgettable with her kindness and helpful advice about Veria. The city itself is beautiful, with the feel of a classic Byzantine place, monuments, churches, welcoming people in the streets and a mild Mediterranean climate. Hotel Makedonia is near the center. Our room was clean, with a great panoramic view, and service was good. Breakfast and parking were good too.
