Antonia Hotel

Antonia was an amazing host, always kind, welcoming, and ready to help. The apartment in Kefalonia was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. It was close to everything while still being peaceful. We had a wonderful stay, felt at home, and would happily stay here again. Highly recommend!

The views and pool area are lovely, and everything was clean and tidy. The showers are terrible, with a small, dated tray, a clingy curtain, and a handheld hose. My main issue is that they let anyone use the pool and facilities.

We had a poor experience from the beginning and moved to another apartment about an hour after arriving. The service was dreadful, and we were given a badly located ground-floor room. The car park was full, so we left the car on the road at the top of the street. We found a cleaner who directed us to the pool bar. Nobody greeted us, the staff were unfriendly, and I was immediately asked to pay a 14 euro tax. Then they showed us to a ground-floor room with no view, overlooking a packed communal pool where every lounger was taken. I couldn't find the air con controls and asked the cleaner, who didn't know what I meant. Five minutes later a young lad came from the garden to our patio doors, shouting, "Air Con." I asked for the controls and he wanted 40 euros. That was the last straw. I asked to see the boss, but he never came. We cut our losses and booked nearby apartments that were 100% better, very welcoming, and gave us a great holiday, so it wasn't all lost. We met another person at our new apartments who'd had a similar experience with the Antonia Apartments and said they'd never go there again. Nobody called to ask why we'd left the room we booked for a week, which says a lot about their care and customer service. Avoid at all costs!

We spent many evenings on our upper-floor balcony with a glass of wine, watching the sunset and enjoying the spectacular sea view. The rooms are spacious and have a small kitchen for self-catering, and the hotel and grounds are beautifully kept. It's a quiet, relaxed place within walking distance of some tremendous restaurants. I can really recommend the Antonia. We had a lovely stay, and I left feeling as if I'd had a month-long holiday.
