Holiday Home 1 Bedroom - Portaria

The setting is perfect for exploring Pelion, close to the village center and beautiful nature trails. At Portaria Hotel, our room was clean and comfortable, with breathtaking views of the mountains and sea. The staff were very friendly and helpful from the start, and the breakfast was delicious, with fresh local ingredients. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay and highly recommend it!

The view from the mountain down to Volos was awesome, and the location was perfect for our three-day break. Staff at the hotel were attentive, the dining room was lovely, dinner was good, and breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The swimming pool was great, though opening at 11:00 am meant half the day was gone. The downsides were no tea or coffee facilities and no insect screens.

The double bed was really two single beds pushed together, which made sleeping uncomfortable. The bathroom had no window or fan, and the old pipes were visible. They were left over from a previous heating installation and seemed like a possible safety hazard. The room was much too small for three people and had dated furniture. My stay at Portaria Hotel was notably unsatisfactory.

Breakfast was exceptional, with plenty of fruit, pastries, and classic options. The staff were super helpful and nice, the room was very nice, and the area felt really cozy. I stayed for seven days, though, and there were some issues. The pool didn't open until 11 am and was open to outsiders, so it got very noisy on the weekend. The gym only opened after 12 pm, hadn't been cleaned during my stay, and about half the machines were broken. It was also closed on Sunday, which the receptionist hadn't told us.
