The Roc Club, A Grecotel Hotel to Live

The room was spacious and very comfortable, and both breakfast and dinner were first class. Elena and Maria, whom we met in the dining room, were among the courteous, pleasant, professional, and helpful staff who looked after us from arrival through our stay. Breakfast was a feast: they bring an elegant étagère of Greek delicacies, cheeses, and sweets, and there’s also an à la carte menu and a buffet. Come hungry. The pool area looks out over the Aegean Sea and sits beside the rooms. I didn’t swim, but dipped my toes in and found the water beautifully warm. It’s a lovely place to relax on a lounger and enjoy the view. There are several beautiful beaches just across the street below the hotel. We appreciated being allowed into our room a little early, which made arrival more relaxed. Late checkout wasn’t possible, but after we checked out the team still lent us towels and a beach bag so we could enjoy the beach. The room had a calming, elegant design and views toward the sea and pool. The bathroom was one of the most gorgeous I’ve seen, even after stays in several five-star and six-star hotels. The whole hotel feels carefully put together, with a clean, sleek Greek style that manages to feel warm and cozy. We booked The Roc Club to get away from central Athens for a night, and it became one of the highlights of our trip. The welcome was exceptional, with two lovely drinks and snacks. Staff everywhere, from reception to the restaurant, were attentive, genuinely friendly, and a pleasure to deal with. I absolutely recommend it and would happily return.

The concierge was attentive and professional, and George deserves a special mention for his excellent suggestions. The kitchen team also made delicious food. Dinner at the restaurant was lovely, and the stay was comfortable and pleasant. I’d happily recommend this charming place.

Vouliagmeni Lake is just steps away, and there are several restaurants nearby. From the hotel you get great bay views for morning walks or a lovely sunset, and I’d recommend a room facing the bay. My wife and I booked The Roc Club at the last minute for a short stay and were blown away by the hospitality, care, and service. The modern rooms have exceptional bathrooms, with nice bathrobes and slippers. Breakfast was delightful, with pastries, bread, and cheeses alongside your entree. We travel a lot and were pleasantly surprised. We’d recommend the hotel to our friends.
