Kardamili Beach Hotel

The location is convenient for reaching many beautiful beaches, which was a plus, but I wouldn’t choose this hotel for a long stay. The room was dirty and had a lot of insects, especially on the floor, and the overall room condition showed serious cleanliness and hygiene problems. The hotel also seemed to have declined from better days. The pool is large and could be a nice feature, but bugs and debris floating in it made it seem neglected. Service added to the disappointment: the staff weren’t as polite or helpful as I expected, and professionalism seemed lacking. Both cleanliness and hospitality need significant improvement.

We loved the location, close to wonderful restaurants and beaches, and spent a lot of time swimming in the tucked away swimming hole in front of the property. It felt like a little piece of paradise for snorkelers and swimmers, and my family loved it. The pool was also a good size and great to use. Breakfast deserves five stars, with a generous spread including baked omelettes, tasty chicken or spinach patties, and plenty more. The bathroom and beds brought our rating down to four. The bathroom was small and didn’t drain well, and the third bed was a chair converted into a bed, which was very uncomfortable. Maybe a little renovation would help. Even with those issues, this is definitely one of the best places to stay in the area. We had a good two night stay in a beautiful spot.

We were disappointed with our two night stay in August, during high season. We got room B5, which smelled of mould, and the refrigerator was rusty inside. There was mould in the bathroom too. After the first night, nobody came to make up our room, even though the other rooms were cleaned. They said they’d look into the smell, but nothing happened. At breakfast, the owner gave us a bad look when we asked for a second cup of coffee. This hotel seems past its best. I hope they remember that guests should be made happy.

The hotel is in a good location, and the rooms are clean, but the price is too high for what you get. The rooms feel very old and need updating. The air conditioning was far too noisy, and the pool was dirty with too much chlorine. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
