Tom & John Apartments

We were a group of seven hoping to spend a pleasant afternoon having drinks and using the pool, which was advertised as one of the bar’s services. We were prepared to spend money and have a good time, but instead we were rudely told to leave for no valid reason. Staff said we couldn’t stay or use the pool because one person in our group had an empty Red Bull can. It hadn’t even been opened or consumed there. When we politely asked why, they were rude, dismissive, and unwilling to discuss it or offer a reasonable solution. We’ve travelled around Greece many times and never met such unprofessional, disrespectful behaviour. A place that should have felt friendly and relaxing was a huge disappointment. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend it. If you want somewhere to unwind and enjoy yourself, go where guests are appreciated.

The pool and its surroundings felt neglected: outdated, dirty, cracked loungers, smudges on the tiles, and pool water that made me wonder if it had ever been filtered. It looked more like an abandoned 90s campground than a resort. Other guests or locals gave unwelcoming stares, and the atmosphere was tense enough to make me want to turn around and leave. At Tom & John Center, I felt like a nuisance for interrupting staff who seemed to be doing nothing. They ignored guests, looked annoyed when someone ordered, and when they finally appeared, acted as if you’d ruined their day. In our case they actually kicked us out, saying “no more service today” while the bar was supposed to be open. Working clearly wasn’t on their agenda. It’s an experience I won’t forget, unfortunately, and a mistake I won’t repeat. If you want a pleasant place to relax, Tom & John isn’t the name to search in Google Maps, unless you’re looking for a warning. If you want to feel like a burden somewhere that seems to have forgotten it’s in hospitality, you’ve found your paradise.

We’ve been coming to Tom & Johns for six years, and this stay has been especially enjoyable since the younger new management took over. They welcome you with smiles in a lovely reception area, are friendly and helpful, and were always around if we needed anything. Eva and Yanis at the pool bar make us feel just as welcome.

Tom & John is a peaceful, small apartment complex, an easy walk from the lovely beach. Ioana gave us a very warm welcome, and the cleaners were friendly and did a good job. You can walk to everything in Tsilivi. A great place to book, highly recommended.
