We only stayed one night, but it was excellent. The room was nice and the hotel stayed quiet enough for us to sleep well, even on New Year's Eve. The staff were so friendly, and they packed breakfast for us because they knew we were leaving early for a volcano hike the next day. Such a kind gesture. I loved this hotel and highly recommend it.

The bed was my main complaint: it sagged and felt a little short for us Westerners. Otherwise, breakfast was tasty and included in the price, and they can arrange transportation to Guatemala City and beyond at competitive rates. The hotel is in a historic old house with a fountain, climbing vines and ironwork, near the beautiful church of La Merced in a central location.

The service and location were excellent, but the rooms felt extremely dated and weren't very comfortable. The price seemed too high for the quality of the hotel.

I loved my stay. Breakfast is included, and you can choose almost anything from the attached restaurant's menu, which is a great deal. The rooms are big and clean, the service is kind, and the rooftop view is beautiful.

The ceviches are great, so don't skip the entradas. The new restaurant just off the hotel lobby has excellent food and creative presentation, with plenty of beef as well as vegetarian choices. It's tastefully decorated into separate rooms, which makes for a cozy meal.
