The carpet was filthy and a tripping hazard, the TV didn't work properly, the food was disgusting, and the toilet had no water and was clogged. The metal cover over the bath drain had a sharp edge that cut my daughter's foot. The mattresses were broken, the hot-water wires were exposed, and the water was only lukewarm. At checkout, they were very rude to us over one towel with a yellow stain. Don't be misled by the nice pictures or the 4.4 rating. I have photos showing what the place was really like.

The shower drain seems to have a dry trap, or no trap at all. Sewer gas filled the room, and the smell was awful, nauseating, and gave me a headache.

We liked having the included el tipico breakfast in the lovely garden, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly, and the hotel was quiet. Plenty of restaurants and central parque are only a short walk away. The windows are slatted, though, so bring earplugs if noise bothers you. You can hear people walking past on their way to their rooms.

Our private room and bathroom cost Q250 for Thursday night, which felt like decent value, especially compared with nearby places. The rooms are cute and there's a nice patio where you can relax. It's not fancy, but it's charming enough and has what you need for a good price.
