I loved starting each morning with breakfast in that gorgeous courtyard. It was delicious and made to order, too. The rooms are spacious, and The San Rafael is right in the middle of everything, just around the corner from the Arc. Such a beautiful boutique hotel. I'd happily stay again.

Everyone we met, from the staff to the owner, was kind and helpful, and their local recommendations were great. They can also arrange private shuttles to and from the airport, and to Lake Atitlan for an extra charge. The hotel is a peaceful little hideaway in the middle of Antigua, with the Santa Catalina Arch right next door and everything else within walking distance. I'd stay here again and recommend it to anyone spending a couple of days in Antigua.

Breakfast in the courtyard was such a peaceful start to the morning. The hotel is beautiful and perfectly placed for exploring Antigua. The staff were lovely, and I only wish I'd stayed longer than one night.

The website makes this place look nice, but the rooms were dirty and had ants crawling around. Customer service was just as bad. They put a table right outside our bedroom, and people eating breakfast there woke us rudely before 7am. When we complained, we were told to find somewhere else to stay. This hotel has no business being open.

It feels quiet and safe despite being close to everything in Antigua. The place is clean and absolutely beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Breakfast is cooked to order and was a perfect way to begin the day.
