We arrived on the island without plans. Our bus was meant to get in at 4pm but didn't arrive until 7pm, and we had a hard time finding somewhere for me, my wife and our friend. Casa Amelia had room, and turned out to be a great find. We ended up in an unusual top room above the rooftop lounge. The view was amazing, the air conditioner worked like a charm, and the room was very clean. It also had hot water and good water pressure. The staff were friendly, especially the slim guy at reception. We wished we'd had a chance to say goodbye and thank him for all his help. Breakfast was delicious and the service was nice too. If you're after a nice room at a good price, this is your spot. The island can get loud at night, wherever you stay, so you might want to bring earplugs.

We had a spectacular view from our room, which was built on top of the roof and worked perfectly for three people. The rooms were clean, breakfast was included, and the staff were delightful and helpful with all our questions. When we had an early sunrise tour of Tikal, they even packed us breakfast to take along. We stayed three nights while visiting Tikal and the surrounding area. The price included a shuttle to the airport because we stayed three nights. Flores is a small island, so you can get anywhere within a 20-minute walk.

A relaxed atmosphere, great service, and a lovely spot right on the lakeshore. I'd recommend this restaurant for an afternoon snack or dinner.

The restaurant was delicious, and the views made it even better. We stayed two nights in clean rooms, with two bottles of water provided each day, which we appreciated. They also arranged free pickup from the airport, a huge bonus. Thanks again!

For what it costs, this little hotel was just right. The rooftop deck has lovely lounge chairs, the restaurant serves good food, and the rooms are cleaned thoroughly every day. The staff were friendly and honest too. I left my credit card in the restaurant, and someone tracked me down later to return it.
