The two receptionists were both great to chat with, and the hotel is right by the lake. Getting around is inconvenient, especially if you want to go out at night. The restaurant is a little pricey, though the white fish was really good. They can book tours for you, but those come with an extra fee compared with booking through somewhere like Los Amigos Hostel. My room was tiny and had no furniture for storing things.

The people working here were so kind and helpful, and the view was beautiful. They'd take us to Flores Island or come pick us up whenever we asked. We also really enjoyed the breakfast and dinner. We'd recommend it 100%!

I booked three nights and ended up staying nine. It's a relaxing place away from the noise and crowds of the island, but close enough to enjoy the city. Kevin was really friendly and gave great service. We had a private dock and swimming area, waterfront dining, and hammocks and lounge chairs by the water. Two round-trip boat rides to Flores per day were free, and the price was great for the location. The food was overpriced and bland, so take the free boat to the island to eat. Boat “tours” to other destinations were expensive too, and rides cost less if you went to the island first. The Tikal tour was overpriced as well.

Carlos, the owner, looked after our group of eight so well the whole time. We rented all the available rooms and had the place to ourselves, which made it extra special. He even offered to take us to a local zoo and animal rescue shelter, show us around, and drive us to different places around the lake. The hotel is fairly remote, but you can ask for a free boat ride there and back. The private beach felt homey, and we could lounge around without a care. After staying at hotels all over Guatemala, this was the cleanest one we've had the pleasure of staying in. The rooms were great, and the small restaurant served generous meals and great typical breakfasts. A wonderful place with a lovely owner.

We booked two nights and stayed six! There are just four double rooms, plus a little restaurant and a garden, and of course the lake. The wifi was really good. Carlos and his family would take us to Flores island and pick us up whenever we wanted, for free. They created such a chilled vibe, with kids sometimes hanging out around the place. The food was really good, especially the pancakes and smoothies, though sometimes it took a long time to arrive. Much love to Maya spirit, and thanks for everything!
