The room was clean and matched the listing, and I’d happily stay again. What I appreciated most was how the staff looked after me, checking that I felt okay during the stay and about what came next. They waited outside with me for my uber until I was ready, and were always smiling and saying hello. Thank you Comfort Hostel staff!

I had a quiet, restful stay and would book again if I return to Guatemala City. The room was spacious, very clean, and smelled fresh, and there was filter water. Even though it’s called a hostel, the service felt like a well-run hotel. I didn’t catch the gentleman on duty’s name, but he was so kind, friendly, and polite. Can’t recommend the place enough.

A pleasant touch was being able to open the motel room window for fresh air, and the ceiling fan helped too. The bath towel was large and plush, the wifi worked well, and the courtyard by the dining room is lovely. It’s a quiet neighborhood with solicitous, professional staff, and the hotel has a stately, polished warmth. A few practical things: bring drinking water since there are no filtered water dispensers, ask for hangers because none are in the armoire, and there’s only one hook, in the bathroom. The outlets by the bed were hard to reach, though there’s a power strip by the desk. Sound from the neighboring room’s TV carries.

Ernesto at the front desk was friendly and had suggestions for things to do. The hotel also has covered parking, and there’s a mall with good restaurants a short walk away. I didn’t explore much of Guate City, so I can’t say a lot about the area. My two nights were very pleasant: the large room and bathroom were clean, nights were quiet, and the cute breakfast patio served a great breakfast. I’ll definitely return!
