I had to wait until 6 am for someone to come to the front desk at checkout, which made me nervous with a 7 am bus to catch. Guatemala traffic can be crazy. Getting in was similar: it was dark and hard to find, and you have to call to be let through the gate. I’m grateful my Uber driver made the call and waited with me until someone opened the door. I was only there overnight after arriving late, about eight hours, but I slept really well in the comfy bed. The room was tiny, though it had everything I needed, and the staff called the bus station to help me arrange transport to Xela the next morning. There was a small shop with snacks and drinks, plus a courtyard where you can relax. I didn’t use either, but saw them at checkout. I’d stay overnight again. Thank you, Gold House! 🙏🏽❤️✨️

I travel to Guatemala often and have stayed here several times over the past three years. It’s budget friendly, and I really appreciate the team’s focus on good service. Manager Daniel Villeda always works hard to give excellent service, and the staff are consistently friendly and efficient. The rooms are simple but comfortable and suit my needs. Each time I return, I notice more improvements, renovations, and upgrades. The location is very convenient, just three minutes from the airport, and they provide a free ride there when you arrive and take you back when you leave, so you save on taxi costs. They also rent reliable cars at a very affordable price.
