It’s a very affordable hotel in a great spot for exploring the historic area on foot, with plenty of food and shopping nearby and a market close by. The staff were all helpful, and parking is available beside the building once they unlock it. They were patient while helping me park, though the process made me a little anxious. The hotel is basic but nice. Our room had no fridge or microwave, and it was hard to find at first. It also got quite cold at night, around 45-50°F, so bring warmer clothes.

They had signs on every table saying all cards were accepted, and we were told we could pay by card. But when we tried to pay, the waitress refused the card and tried to charge us double. She hadn’t given us any cutlery either, and it took a lot of effort to sort things out. She also wouldn’t give us the WiFi password. The drinks were below average and the food was just okay.

The staff were friendly and polite. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but there was no fan to cool the room during the day.

I booked a room at Hotel Capri Guatemala yesterday and messaged the property to say I’d arrive after 2 am. They confirmed they were open 24 hours. When I arrived then, they said every room was full. I showed them our messages, but they weren’t interested.

A clean place with plenty of private parking and nice people. I’d recommend it to anyone.
