From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming and quick to help, which made the stay feel special. The room was clean, well kept, and comfortable, with everything we needed to relax after a long day. We also really enjoyed the food. Every meal was tasty and well prepared. We had a great experience and would gladly stay at Hotel Casa Maya again. The friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and very good food make it easy to recommend.

Marta and her family welcomed me so warmly, it filled my heart. My bungalow was very comfortable, set in their lush green garden, and so peaceful. I couldn’t have imagined a better stay on the river. I could stay forever.

Gerson and Marta made us feel at home right away, while still giving us space. It’s a relaxed place in a great location, hosted by a very friendly local family. You can swim in the river, rent a kayak, and explore the area. Definitely worth supporting.

A lovely place to unwind. The staff are lovely, the rooms are spacious, and the food is simple, tasty, and reasonably priced.

For a quiet break away from the noise, with stars to enjoy at night, this place is a great fit. You stay in a wooden bungalow with international standards, hosted by a local family. It’s also one of the few places owned and run by Guatemalan Indigenous people, so I’d say go local. Doña Martha and her family were wonderful hosts. You can only get there by boat, but it’s cheap. Thank you.
