The parrot at El Viajero added a fun touch, and the atmosphere was calm. Service was good, with quick laundry and coffee and tea available almost all the time. The location is handy for the lakeshore, restaurants, and shops, and we hardly noticed any noise. For the price, the rooms are quite decent, though the bathroom may be small and hot water isn't always available. It’s a solid budget place in downtown Panajachel.

The garden and outside area are beautiful, full of plants and color, and the location is great. But our room smelled strongly of mold and damp. After a lot of protest, staff finally agreed to move us. The new room was only marginally better and still didn’t feel clean.

It’s right in the heart of town, with lots of restaurants and shops close by. Coffee is available in the mornings and evenings. Our room was fine, with hot water and a private bathroom. There’s no air conditioning, just a fan, so keep that in mind in summer.

Comfortable, clean, and quiet, with a ceiling fan in the room. The location is great, and you can walk to the buses at Shell. For the price, it’s a great choice for a night or a couple of nights. I tried to get the parrot there to talk to me, but it refused 🙈

The gardens are lovely, with the sweetest parrot and cat, and coffee and tea in the garden are a nice touch. The rooms are basic, but we liked having a private bathroom. You can hear some other guests, though it was mostly quiet. The location is convenient for restaurants, with access through a small alley. A nice weekend option from Antigua.
