The food was fantastic, and we even saw sea turtles laying eggs right in front of the hotel. My girlfriend and I stayed for five days in February, and for three of them we were the only guests there. It’s way out of the way, with nowhere nearby to buy food, so the hotel cooks everything on site. We’d definitely go back.

The boat ride was the best part of our stay at Hidden Paradise Beach Hotel. Getting there means paying for the boat and for parking your car at the lot by the dock. The staff were helpful, accommodating, and clearly trying hard, but the grounds and rooms were below par. It felt more like a rustic hostel than a hotel, especially given the high holiday price. You can rent a small hut or a room. The beach wasn't very pretty, with lots of rough-looking or abandoned places around. There were roaches in the room, and without the air conditioner it was unbearable, though even with it on the room felt like a jail and wasn't somewhere you'd want to hang out. I'm guessing mostly local Guatemalans visit, so they may find it nice compared with the rest of the country, which is in dismal condition.

A great spot for time with family or friends, enjoying the beach and surrounding nature while switching off for a while. The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. 100% recommended.
