Chirris Hostel

The courtyard looked especially lovely with the lights on at night, and I really appreciated having a kitchen and free coffee. My dorm bed was comfortable, there was plenty of room for luggage, and everything was very clean and tidy. It felt like a welcoming, homely place to rest right in the heart of San Juan. Andrea, Francisca, and the other staff I met were lovely. It's easy to imagine extending your stay here. I’d recommend it and would love to return.

The staff are what make this place stand out. Francisca was very kind and helpful, and Andrea, “la jefa,” made me feel like I was being welcomed into her own home. She’s warm, knowledgeable, and always smiling. Lo aprecio mucho. The hostel itself is calm and cozy, with a great location, clean spaces, a nice kitchen, and comfortable beds. The only hard part was having to leave. If you’re visiting San Juan, stay here!

We had a really good breakfast and found the kitchen great to use. The rooms felt new and comfortable, and the whole place has a cozy atmosphere. Staff were lovely too. For the price, it was a very good deal and the best hostel stay of our trip.

We didn't stay overnight, but the rooms looked really clean and the hostel itself was cute and cozy. We had come in to ask Andrea for recommendations around San Juan, and she made us feel incredibly welcome. Thanks to the chirris hostel team for being so hospitable and making our time in San Juan even better :)
