It’s hard to find a hotel that gets both the small details and the overall experience right so consistently. If you want a peaceful stay with top-level service, this is the place.

Bissau’s location is great, and the staff were very friendly. My stay was lovely, with a decent breakfast and, in the double suite, a spacious room with a king-size bed. The prices are reasonable by Bissau standards. The hotel is a bit dated, though, and the facilities could use some work to improve the guest experience.

The local chicken dish was especially good, and the staff were nice. They cleaned every day, too. I had to switch rooms because the ones on the right, facing the street with the car washers, are noisy. The quieter room I moved to had poor AC and no hot water. Neither problem was fixed for the rest of my stay, which to me points to bad management.

The staff were warm and kind, and the rooms were clean. It’s in a safe area, with fast food places, supermarkets, and bars nearby. Quite a nice spot, and I’d recommend it to anyone wanting to stay downtown.

I’d heard so much about this great hotel, and now I can see why. It’s nice, the staff are friendly, and the rooms are clean, among other good things. Whenever I visit Bissau, I’ll be back.
