Renaissance Hong Kong Harbour View Hotel

The gym was quiet on all four occasions I used it, and it was very clean and well maintained. I wanted to mention the equipment because there were hardly any photos of it. The hotel also has a great breakfast buffet, one of the best I've come across in 100+ hotel nights a year.

I didn't stay here, so I can't speak to the rooms or service. But if you're attending an event at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the hotel seems like part of the complex. I got lost on the first day of our event and asked the staff for directions. They were very kind, so I'm sure their service is good.

I was here for a congress and was glad I picked this place. It's so close by. As a first-time guest, my son and I were given complimentary breakfast, which was a lovely welcome. The room was small but comfortable, with all the amenities we needed and great TV channels. The heated pool and garden were beautiful. We'll stay again. Thank you, Nora, for the warm welcome.

The hotel deserves five stars for being so sustainable. There was no single-use plastic, the brush and comb were made of bamboo, and water cans were provided in all rooms. We stayed four days over New Year, and the location and views were great, but the experience had its problems. We reserved a king-size bed and got a twin room instead. The staff pushed the beds together after we called, but it took nearly an hour. For the first two days, our room with a garden-like view was spacious and comfortable. The Harbour View room was smaller, though the view was beautiful. New Year's Eve was a letdown. There was no celebration in the hotel beyond one singing performance in the lobby restaurant. With no fireworks that year, the harbour view felt wasted, and we had to go out to celebrate. The lifts were another frustration: waits often reached 15-20 minutes, with several elevators passing whether we were going up or down. Breakfast lines were long every morning because only one staff member was checking guests. We also asked for early check-in, but got the room quite late. The staff seemed average and not very proactive. Great location and views, but the lift management, service gaps, breakfast queues, and lack of holiday planning affected the stay. It seems better suited to business travel than a holiday.
