Motto by Hilton Hong Kong SoHo

Getting around was easy, with the metro and much of the area within walking distance. The breakfast restaurant has lovely views, and breakfast itself was preset but tasty, with just the right portions. They were happy to add an egg to one of the options that didn’t include one. The hotel is comfortable and sensibly laid out, though rooms run small. Mine was cozy and functional, but I couldn’t connect my Fire Stick because the hotel login prompt wouldn’t load. The view wasn’t anything special. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. It’s a no-frills place, without a welcome note or snacks for elite guests, but I had a nice, comfortable stay.

The room was spotless, with detailed decor and Hong Kong touches that I really liked. The hotel opened in August 2025, so it’s still very new and clean. I did notice a few minor defects already, and hope they can keep it in good shape. At the 38/F Bar, the staff were great. They had a “never say no” approach, offering an alternative instead of simply turning down a request, which shows how well the hotel has trained them. The pan-fried cod fish was delicious, too. Service gets five stars from me, especially at check-in. Dilys was proactive, professional, precise and friendly in her communication, no small thing in the stressful HK vibe. For price, cleanliness, service and location, I think Motto by Hilton is the best in the Jervois Street/ Sheung Wan /Soho area. It’ll be my first choice when I stay in HK. Thank you!

We spent 10 nights here and were very glad we chose it. The room was clean and nicely designed, with enough room for us and our luggage, and lots of places to put things. It may be the most thoughtfully laid-out hotel room I’ve seen. The staff were friendly, funny and helpful. Sheung Wan MTR Station is about a five-minute walk away, with Man Mo Temple close by. Central, PMQ and Tai Kwun are also easy to reach on foot. The rooms are fairly soundproof. The main exception is the door: hallway noise comes through clearly, though that didn’t happen often. We’ll definitely be back!

The rooms are new, though the walkways can feel tight, which I guess is normal for Hong Kong hotels. The location is excellent, about a five-minute walk from bus and MRT stations. Dilys was exceptionally helpful with our luggage, checkout procedures and arranging an airport transfer. Kiki and Victor also handled our packages with great professionalism. I’d highly recommend staying here.
