Decent rooms, with views over the streets of Wan Chai. Times Square is nearby and connects to Causeway Bay MTR station, so getting around was convenient and good value for my trip. The area also gives you plenty to explore: fruit, seafood, and vegetable stalls around Morrison Hill and Bowrington Market, with a real HK feel. Lots of halal food is within walking distance, including wai Kee duck rice, Islamic center canteen, taiba, yousaf Pakistani food, nepali food, and capitol cafe.

The family-friendly atmosphere made for a welcoming meal. South Pacific Buffet had a nice variety, with colorful salads and tasty desserts. The coffee was especially good.

I wasn’t a guest, and after how the concierge handled my request, I doubt I’ll ever become one. At 5 in the morning I needed a taxi to Hong Kong station for a flight. The concierge kept repeating, “we only help our customer here,” without trying to order one or offering any other advice. I was just asking what options I had.

The room itself was fine, but the shower water was freezing and the beds were really hard. Both made for a very unpleasant stay, and I don’t expect to have a cold shower in winter.

There’s lots to do nearby, and Times Sq is close. The room was about the size of a one-bedroom NYC apartment, and the service was great. Nice place to stay.
