Royal Pacific Hotel and Towers

We were upgraded to a harbor-view room, and it was perfect for watching the whole light show from the window. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a Nespresso machine, a really comfy bed, and both a bathtub and separate shower in our bathroom. The reservations team took great care of us, and the staff were the best. The hotel sits at the edge of a high street, with luxury brands within 100 meters. I think it’s a luxury hotel, though I didn’t check when booking. We’ll probably stay at RPH whenever we visit HK.

The best thing about our stay was the central location. The hotel has spacious rooms, though it feels a bit worn down. We enjoyed our visit overall, mostly because it was so conveniently situated. We’d booked the new year’s dinner at the restaurant, but the meal was inconsistent. They didn’t take our drink order until we asked. The staff member was friendly, but then the wait staff questioned why I hadn’t finished my food and called other waiters over to look at my plate. That was unusual. We’d reserved two harbor-view rooms after seeing website photos that looked unobstructed. In reality, we had to stand right beside the window and look sideways to see the water. The photo showed the view from about two meters away, which was misleading.

On 21. November 2025, a hotel staff member went out of his way to help me when I was having trouble getting an uber/taxi. I wasn’t even staying at the hotel, and I’m very grateful for his kindness. I regret not asking his name. I forgot to post this review at the time, but that experience makes me consider staying here in the future.

The harbor view is breathtaking, and the location is fabulous. Staff were friendly, attentive, and simply amazing. The restaurant could use a few more vegetarian choices, though the service there was really great. The rooms and hallways are dated and need a full revamp, but they’re clean and well maintained. A wonderful hotel and our favorite in Hong Kong.
