Courtyard Hong Kong Sha Tin

The breakfast buffet at MoMo was just okay: bland and repetitive each morning. The shower area could also use some work. What keeps bringing me back when I visit Hong Kong from the U.S. is the location and the service. It's about a 10-minute walk to the train station, bus stops are in front, and there are lots of restaurants nearby. The free shuttle goes to a nearby shopping mall, West Kowloon high-speed rail and Tsim sha Tsui. Both drivers were safe and very helpful. A special thank you to my room attendant Chan Chung Wa, who kept my 21st-floor room impeccably clean and all amenities stocked during my two-week stay. Wah was polite and very friendly, which made me comfortable. I hope management recognizes her. Great value, and an excellent hotel.

Jacky Yip Chun Ki made us feel cared for right from check-in. He helped with our luggage, explained the amenities clearly and left a thoughtful note about the complimentary shuttle. On our Macau travel day, he personally accompanied us to the bus station for the ticket sales center and the Mainland China departure area. That really touched us. We were traveling as a family and had a wonderful stay at Courtyard Hong Kong Sha Tin. The facilities were modern, the location was great, and the whole team provided excellent service. We also appreciated the water refill station on our floor, an eco-conscious way to cut down on plastic bottles. We felt welcome and at home, and thank the team, especially Jacky, for a memorable, heartwarming visit.

That ceiling shower head was a surprise: it worked like a massage, almost a jacuzzi, and helped me unwind after a long day. I've stayed at W and JWM hotels but haven't come across this kind of ceiling shower head before. The hotel's “Call for Service” is another unusual pleasure. Each morning I call housekeeping as I get ready to leave, looking forward to the lively voice answering. At night, when I call for a bathrobe or a knife, the low, comforting voice feels familiar, almost like home. Hotel stays and travel are enjoyable already, but this adds something special. The hardware across Marriott Hotel Group brands is satisfactory, while the “software” should be immune to all challenges. This is my top recommendation. Invincible.

The staff were professional and very nice, and my room was spacious and clean. A free shuttle goes to several places, including Victoria Harbor. There are Chinese restaurants nearby, McDonald next door and groceries within a block. It costs much less than other Marriott brand hotels near the harbor. I was very happy with my stay.
