Holiday Inn Express Causeway Bay Hong Kong

The room was a nice size for one person in Hong Kong, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was convenient too, with an MTR station nearby as well as large malls and convenience stores. I enjoyed having eggs benedict each morning. I just wish breakfast had a few more choices. I was very happy with my stay and would highly recommend the hotel.

The room was spotless, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet even though the area is busy. I couldn’t hear outside noise and slept really well. It was also well maintained. The location made getting around easy, just behind Times Square, near the subway, restaurants, and shops. The service was a highlight. Check-in was quick, and the staff were warm, polite, and professional. I’m especially grateful to the person who helped with our luggage. The hotel arranged a taxi, and a staff member brought our bags downstairs, waited with us, then carefully loaded everything into the car. I’d gladly stay here again.

The room itself was okay, but on the second night I had to move because water had flooded the bathroom from upstairs. The replacement was on a lower floor with a worse view, which was inconvenient. The hotel gave me a Starbucks card, though it only covered a coffee, not the pastry I’d expected it to cover. That seemed pretty funny for a global hotel brand. They could put more effort into making things right, especially since this isn’t an Ibis or a budget hotel. The location is very good, right in the city centre and close to the metro. Breakfast, though, was terrible. There were only 3-4 choices, along with tea and coffee. The coffee was awful, there was no cappuccino or café latte, and the black coffee came with disgusting milk. I’d rather have had the option to order a separate breakfast. The hotel breakfast felt like a waste of time, so it’s better to eat elsewhere.

The staff made us feel welcome throughout, and the beds were comfortable in clean, well-kept rooms. We arrived before check-in time and were pleasantly surprised to be let into a room early. Tiffany was especially kind in helping us with that. I also lost something on the bus by accident, and Vivian went out of her way to help us contact the Citybus office and report it. Had a great stay at Holiday Inn Causeway Bay, and I’d definitely recommend it.
