Silka Seaview

The room was very small, but we still found it comfortable. The location is great, close to the metro and just a short walk from the night markets. The staff acted professionally, though we didn’t get a very welcoming feeling from them. It would be nice if they served breakfast, but they said there’s no restaurant in the hotel.

Very clean and reasonably priced, and close to the MTR station. I’m sure I’ll choose this hotel again next time.

The service was something I appreciated. They didn’t ask for a cash deposit at check-in, and after checkout they let us leave our luggage there, which gave us time to explore and buy souvenirs before going to the airport. I hope they improve both the inside and outside of the hotel soon, and I’d be willing to give it another try on my next visit. The room itself wasn’t up to expectations. There were several stains on the carpet, it looked dirty, and the safe wasn’t working properly. It was small, though just enough for two people. Since we only had two days in Hong Kong, I didn’t get a chance to raise these problems during the stay. We still had a great time exploring the city and trying the local food. With the hotel under renovation, I think three stars is a fair rating.

I stay here regularly, and sometimes they upgrade my room. Once I forgot my glasses, and I was really glad they kept them in the room for me. I’ll stay here again.
