Don Moises

The rooftop terrace brings people from all over the world together for lively evening conversations. The hotel is only a couple of blocks from the central plaza, so everything in town is easy to reach. Rooms are great and reasonably priced, from very cheap hostel-style stays to private rooms or ones with air conditioning for a little more. The staff made me feel like family. I stay here whenever I'm in Copan Ruinas, and I can't say enough good things about the people at Hotel Don Moises.

The view from the patio and roof was absolutely stunning, and the hammocks were great. I also enjoyed the 10+ kids ages 3-16 and the bunny wandering around. I stayed in a room for 4 in August, and it got very hot at night. The bathrooms and showers were nice, though there aren't many extras, aside from optical laundry service.

On both of my stays in Honduras, Amada and her staff made me feel like family, and they were very helpful about making my father, who speaks no Spanish, feel comfortable. The price is great, the rooms were clean, and I liked the shared kitchen and the conversations with other travelers on the rooftop in the evenings. I've already booked another stay for my next trip later this year. Hotel Don Moises is always my first choice in Copan Ruinas. The previous reviewer is right about the Google Maps pin being way off. The hotel is more or less across the street from Via Via, about two blocks from the main plaza.

We had such a good experience at this nice, quiet place in Copan Ruinas. It's three minutes from the central park, with diners nearby that serve very good food. Highly recommended.
