Hotel Latitud 15

Tucked away on the outskirts of downtown San Pedro Sula, this place was a hidden gem. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The security guards helped my mobility-impaired parent get in and out of the car, and even put large sheets of cardboard on the windshield to shield it from the harsh midday sun. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and nice. I only had a couple of complaints: there was no in-room safe or mini-fridge, and the sliding bathroom doors were difficult for an elderly person to operate. Apart from that, I'd happily return.

Comfort was a real highlight, and the hotel was quiet with good service and security. The inside has a minimalist modern look, with a sense of luxury in many areas. The price is above average, and breakfast seems to have only two options. Parking wasn't a great experience. You have to walk outside the hotel over bare soil, which would turn muddy in the rain and could be a problem if you're heading to an important event.

The restaurant food was great, and the internet worked really well in our room. There’s a huge supermarket nearby with just about anything you could want, including lots of imported products for different nationalities. The mirror effect is everywhere in this trendy little hotel. It makes the tiny room, elevators, pool, and restaurant seem much bigger. The bathroom mirror trick wasn’t so great, though: I used the wrong toilet, and it got on my shoes. EWWWWW! Music was pretty loud upstairs, either from the neighboring bar or from kids with a boom box around the pool.

I came in for the first time hoping to rent a meeting room, but they wouldn’t tell me the price or let me book one. That was especially frustrating since the receptionist had previously quoted me an hourly rate.
