Hotel Calle Real

I was here as part of a tour. It’s an average hotel, fairly close to the center if you’re heading down a steep hill. The bedding was clean, but the bathroom was very basic and my toilet kept overflowing.

👍 The location is good, rooms are cheap, there’s WiFi, and parking is inside the premises. 👎 There were lots of insects in the room, no daily housekeeping, and loud cocks at 3 am that can wake you up.

Hotel Calle Real is a very basic place at the top of a steep hill, but it’s clean and not far from town. It’s also near the Copan Ruins in Honduras. The staff were pleasant and did their best to get the WiFi working. The rooster next door crowed at all hours, and local celebrations kept us awake too. The shower was the most amusing part. See the photos in the videos. It didn’t bother us, but others were grumpy that it was the only option. Otherwise, it’s a simple place to rest before checking out the ruins.

I stayed here one night last year as part of a group tour. It’s very basic, but the staff are nice, and it’s about a five-minute walk to the plaza.
