The garden setting made breakfast a treat each morning, with well-prepared food and high-quality ingredients. The rooms are simple but nicely done, comfortable, and charming. I had hot showers, a comfortable bed, and could get water, coffee, or hot tea brought to my room. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and had plenty of privacy, and the central location was handy. There’s a small staff, which helped make the place feel welcoming. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I also had an excellent massage, and the outdoor shower afterward was a highlight. The WiFi stayed steady and even worked well for Zoom. Terramaya is a gem. I can’t wait to come back.

This was for our wedding anniversary, and with only 48 hours’ notice there was nowhere as good for us to stay. I booked an upstairs suite in May 2025 for February 2026 and got confirmation from the staff through booking.com. Then, just 48 hours before we were due to arrive, the owner Howard casually said we couldn’t stay at the hotel because he’d given our suite to someone in a larger group of 12. I pleaded with him, but he was rude and dismissive. His behavior was truly shocking and dishonorable.

We spent three very happy nights at Terramaya. It felt like an oasis in Copan Ruinas from the moment we walked in, and that impression held up throughout the stay. The place was beautiful, airy, comfortable, and quiet. Air conditioning and ceiling fans kept the room at a perfect temperature, and breakfast was tasty. It’s well located near town and within walking distance of Copán. We wished we could have stayed longer.

The beds were big and really comfortable, with perfect pillows. Each room also had an AC unit and extra blankets, so you’re covered in any weather. We loved the included breakfast and the five-minute walk to the Central Park and all the good restaurants. The hotel is on a small street near the center, which kept road noise down. The staff were incredible, welcoming and helpful, and kept the whole place clean and beautiful. Super beautiful stay, we loved it and can’t wait to come back!
