The rooftop is a nice touch, and I had a quiet room set back from the street. Staff were friendly, and for the price it’s really good. They can arrange tours too, like the rafting trip at pico bonito, which I enjoyed.
I took their ferry to Utila and went rafting through them, and both worked out well. They also offer trips to Cayos and waterfalls, plus ferry services, at prices that seemed as good as or lower than other providers. The dorms are clean and great value, and the staff are genuinely helpful and kind. For a budget stop before the Islands, or a base to see more of the mainland, the Guacamayos Hotel is a great choice in La Ceiba.
The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in while traveling around central america, and every room has A/C. The location is great, and the staff were kind and helpful.
If you’re backpacking through or staying a while, this is a great spot. The hiking trip was adventurous and worth doing. You’re close to the beach and restaurants, and La Ceiba has a lively feel with local shops and plenty of culture. Thanks!
The beds were so comfortable I slept like a baby, and the A/C worked great. I liked having a nice shower and a new TV in the room for watching a film. There are all kinds of good amenities, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Best value for the quality in the country, definitely.
