The rooms were very clean, and there was a big pool, a restaurant, and wifi. I'd bring my own soap and towels, though. The towels are paper thin, and the soap smells cheap.

I've stayed on all three floors, and the top one is really nice because it has a very large balcony. There's no elevator to the second or third floors. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and at least once a day there was someone who spoke English. I lived here when I first came to La Ceiba, and I'm giving it five stars for the value. It's not a four or five star hotel, but it's great for the price.

For a seven night stay, never getting hot water was unacceptable. The restaurant was worse: the food arrived late, cold, and undercooked. The bed felt like a brick with sheets, and the pillows were like cinder blocks. There was only one usable outlet in the room and none in the bathroom. With no doors between the lobby and rooms, every conversation seemed to carry right into my room across the tile floor. At that point, I'd rather buy sheets at the store and sleep better on the beach.
