La Delphina B&B Bar and Grill Hotel

It feels like home here, right across from the beach, with beautiful sunsets. The rooms are spacious and, best of all, there’s hot running water! Richard and the girls really go above and beyond. The minibar has all kinds of drinks, and I especially liked the national beers. The food is pretty good and made fresh when you order, so there can be a bit of a wait, but it’s worth it. I’d definitely recommend getting a cold coconut.

I only got to stay one day and wished it had been a whole week. The owner was there, polite, and helpful, and the rooms are fun. The food was outstanding. I ordered ajio shrimps, and both the size and taste were quality. All the pictures in my review are from the property, and the beach side is on the beach. I’ll go back when I can.

The staff are friendly, the place is clean, and the food is great. It seems like a good spot for younger families. If I were younger, I’d give it another star, but this place isn’t user friendly for people with disabilities, and there are no accessible rooms. The pool ladder has no steps, so it was difficult for me to get in and out. A step with a handrail would help. I asked the owner about it, and he said he removed the steps after some kids got hurt. The shallow end is 18 inches from the bottom to the wall. I was told to roll over until I reached a place where I could stand. At 73, with bad knees and feet, I found it humiliating to have to roll around like a dog just to get up. The owner’s indifference to a real problem surprised me, especially since he’s American and should know better.

Things got off to a rough start, but turned out quite nice. My wife and I really enjoyed the place, and Richard and his helpers treated us very nicely. We visited in the slow season and nearly had the beach to ourselves. My wife wasn’t ready to leave, and we’ll stay there again. Thanks, Richard, and please give our blessings to the cook.
