I’d happily return. It’s one of our best memories from Roatan, with friendly, helpful staff, a tasty adjacent restaurant at reasonable prices, and a lovely setting close to beautiful West Bay beach. There’s lots of greenery, and from a terrace room you can watch macaws from your hammock each morning. We took two snorkeling trips and rented their gear, which was good quality and a positive experience. Breakfast was the weak point, and the reason for my four stars. It starts at 8, though people are up at 6 or 7. The food didn’t feel very nutritious: cookies, fruit, and sweet yogurt first, if there’s any left, followed by a hot dish. I liked that the hot food changed daily, and the baleadas were really good, but portions were small and most of the other options were hit or miss. That was surprising because we ate dinner there almost every night and really liked it. I’d prefer a typical breakfast plate with rice, beans, plantain, and avocado over basic cookies, sweet yogurt, and a hot item.

The sense of community is what keeps bringing us back to Las Rocas Dive Resort. We leave with new diving friends and closer friendships with the staff, who make you feel like family instead of visitors. This latest visit was our fifth time diving with them, and we already look forward to another. The dive team is consistently caring and professional. Geraldine and Aaron were knowledgeable and patient divemasters, and Otto kept the boat operation safe and smooth. Mirta, the owner, welcomed us warmly and made an effort to accommodate our requests. Staff across the resort were attentive and focused on guest comfort. And Winson makes the best mojitos on the island. The location works well too: West Bay is within walking distance, and water taxis go directly from the resort to West End. We’d recommend Las Rocas to anyone looking for great diving, a convenient location, and a warm, professional experience.

The instructors were the highlight of our stay. Aaron was such a good guide and teacher that, after his encouragement, we decided to do our advanced certification with him. We learned a lot diving with both Aaron and Geraldine and had a great time. The location is hard to beat, and the rooms were decent for the price. Breakfast was alright, though service could be slow and not being able to choose was a little weird. Dinner was among our favorite food on the island. Great value, and I highly recommend the all-inclusive dive package.

We had a comfortable, clean private cabin with a king bed, and the staff were patient, helpful, and welcoming. The setting is peaceful, with wildlife, a beautiful beach, and lovely sunsets. Meals at the restaurant were delicious, and breakfast was included. We enjoyed sitting together during happy hour, chatting about the day and watching the sunset. We’d definitely return and recommend this lovely little resort.

We came in on a cruise ship and were treated so well. The resort has a tropical beach, bungalow-style rooms, and a dive shop. Our dive at EEL gardens was very nice, with beautiful 60'+ walls, good visibility, healthy coral, and fabulous reefs nearby. Prices were very fair.
