Holiday Home House of the Sun

We came back after two years and were so happy to be here again. It's a great spot for a really quiet holiday, and the pool was so good we didn't even feel like going to the sea. There's also a tiny nearby beach, Vedrana, where there were very few people, or none. The house has all the essentials, including internet, satellite, air conditioning, a fridge, and a coffee machine, plus three bathrooms. Just watch out for the wasps around the pool. It was a great family vacation.

Jagoda welcomed us so warmly, and we had a lovely time in a comfortable, fully equipped house. It was very clean, and the setting was great. The pool was amazing, especially at night with the lights on.

That little beach about ten minutes away was our favorite. We also tried other beaches on the island, but this one was usually empty, had shade under the trees, and was fine even with our dog. A bar has opened there with a small range of drinks, though we couldn't work out its changeable opening hours. The walk down is easy and not far: turn right out of the gate, then keep a little left, and at the newly planted olive grove head slightly left through the light forest toward the sea. The claim that you can drive all the way to the old quarry for parking is only partly true in my view. I'd recommend an SUV with 4x4, possibly as a necessity, or just walk. We spent ten lovely days there in September 2022, with consistently beautiful weather. Jagoda's German communication was excellent, and we got arrival updates on WhatsApp. The quiet house's Dalmatian style fits the surroundings, while inside it's modernly furnished. We found the beds perfect, and the bathrooms and rest of the house were very clean. The old olive grove in the large garden is beautiful, and the pool sits naturally in that setting. After city life, the quiet and cicadas were a real treat for the senses. The value for money is very good.
