Adriatica Rooms

There’s no small fridge for drinks and, more of a drawback for us, no elevator. As a middle-aged couple, going up and down three flights of stairs was tiring. Still, the balcony view made the effort worthwhile, and it’s a great place to stay with a fantastic location, good cleanliness, and friendly people.

There’s a beach nearby, as well as a small shopping centre with restaurants and a supermarket. The hotel is well located, with a bus stop close by and bus number 4 taking about 15 minutes to reach the old town. There’s no elevator, so you’ll need to use the stairs, though that shouldn’t trouble younger guests. The room has no safe or fridge. It isn’t a bad hotel, but Dubrovnik is popular, and at this price you get what you pay for.

The sea view room was okay, but I wouldn’t recommend the others. The location was all right, though the room felt dated and the TV looked ancient. Being on the third floor with no elevator was not okay. The food was disappointing, toiletries were nonexistent, and there’s no hotel bar. The restaurant is across the road, with even more stairs. Bring your own tea bags.

We enjoyed our stay for the second year in a row. There’s plenty to do outside the hotel, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The bus stop right outside is handy; take the No 4 to the old town, and buy tickets at the shop. The rooms are dated, but for a two-star hotel that’s about what you’d expect. Ours was cleaned daily and came with fresh towels. The food was okay, though basic, which works for bed and breakfast when there are lots of restaurants nearby. My only real criticism is the beach area in front of the building. There’s no seating and the bar is closed, though there are beaches on either side where you can pay for loungers.
